Early on in life I realized,
Events and happenings are overtly dramatized.
Everyday millions die as insects squashed by carefree footfalls.
As he, who rules the cosmos, cares very little for your loss.
His talent lies in engineering, a Tsunami, a Rita, a Bin- laden,
Choosing to ignore the devastation and rising death toll.
A politically correct, carefully delivered speech is rolled out,
Promises of fat compensation packages are doled out.
The media circus highlights the gory details,
The average citizen exclaims loudly,
And as abruptly the hoopla dies,
For there is another breaking news,
the daunting reporter cries.
Ladies and Gentlemen this is the story of the millennium.
The Global village where men in one continent decide,
To keep their differences aside.
And kill one and kill all with a vengeance,
To show Allah their reverence.
Ironically, In the name of jihad,
The religious and terrorist agenda coincide.
God, who would believe you, actually changed sides.
All life is sacred, is the teaching of the past,
The stage is set for a new cast,
An all new season of bomb blasts.
Where promising militants from across the border,
Would come up with the most original plots to murder.
Win accolade for their performance,
For non-conformance .
And this is the success story of a nation,
Whose very existence is questioned.
Where is the savior of humanity, promised in the Bible, the Geeta,
And numerous other sacred books people swear by?
Or are we on our own till humanity is extinct and the spirit dies?

Beautifully put! Looking forward to reading more of your writings!
Simply said, yet so profound.
You truly are an accomplished lesser known poet who certainly will be much known and famous one day.
All the Best
