Murky Mechanics

How small is our world, trapped in an even smaller mind,
How we deny others what we desperately seek,
A helping hand, a kind word, a magnanimous gesture,
A frantic plea to be understood,
Yet, like everything else we judge, analyze,
And sometimes without thinking criticize…people,
Who don’t share our ideologies, neither our friends circle nor our taste,
We laugh at them…fools! Do they laugh at us?
I don’t think so, they are probably too simple to realize,
The murky mechanics of our genius, complex mind.
