A Strange Diwali

The tailed crackers burst high in the sky,
Scattering sparks and smiles for miles and miles,
Shooing away the clouds, white and grey,
For today, we pray for all that has been given to us,
Given out of sheer generosity,
May His grace walk into our well-lit homes,
Clean our hearts,
And fill it with a deep richness of love,
To know that the stranger, sad and hungry,
Poor and homeless is an extension of us.

Happy Diwali, to friends, family and strangers!
