In stilling the mind I have made a friend,
For hours we sit side by side and partake of the breath of life,
Our gladdened hearts mirror our joy,
A serene quietness overwhelms, like lovers meeting for the first time,
In this quietude of aloneness, my new friend is fearless,
He conceives the inconceivable,
A world of light, bodiless, pure and white,
Here there is no separateness, no uniqueness,
All that he sees he becomes; he succumbs,
Oneness was a concept before; he now knows it to be true,
In the sacredness of stillness, mind and I are no longer enemies,
When at last he returns from this joyous universe,
I find myself to have made that journey,
To have come alive, to have shed my skin, to have become as fearless as him.

Interesting take... like most of the spiritual gurus you treat the mind as separate and seeks to unite with him :-)
