The Burning Eye

The glow that burns between the eyes has me mesmerized,
So many hues, forms, threads of dimensions unknown,
In crossing the threshold of what I see and what I don’t,
A strange detachment courses through my veins, uninhibited, unchained,
On this soundless journey through the burning third eye,
There’s a sense of being bigger than I,
The river of time and the space between spaces a mere figment of my consciousness.

Hi Ismita,

What a lovely piece. Being a Bengali myself, the concept of the Third eye is very dear to me. Maa Durga holds a very special place in our culture. You have captured the metaphysical element beautifully in your writing. An absolute treat for the soul.
