By The Sea

In waves you come to me, crashing against the rocks,
Shedding your white skin on the golden palm of my hands,
My footprints on the sand, you kiss very lightly,
Bathing my feet in your water, your recede quietly,
The more I try to hold you, faster, the time runs out,
Yet, we have never been more together, simply walking by the sea,
There’s a strange pull, an ancient magic in your depth,
I find myself trembling all over again.

The Song of the Sufi Masroof
