There'll be no stars in my eyes anymore,
Their light is not my light,
With every blow that comes from the sky,
I'll rise up and fight.
I didn't bow when the first blow came or the second or the
third,
And I'm certainly not bowing to the elusive shape up above.
These hands have been idle too long,
They must learnt to toil,
When the earth is parched and the heart is dry,
I won't search for water,
Of the lifeblood that runs in my veins,
I'll squeeze every ounce, pour it down the deep throat of destiny,
And watch it stand down.
Who'll stop me, except me, and that I've been doing all along,
My fears are very real but they must be put to rest,
My God certainly exists but he must be put to test.
I'm done fighting battles, where I'm the enemy and the friend,
On this battlefield, I give up all my weapons,
And the only thing I carry is my armour of resilience.
I won't be shaken,
I won't tremble at the sight of blood and gore,
Let it flow from my body, let it trickle,
I'll breathe passion in the very blood that seeps,
I'll paint from that liquid, a painting of life,
And I'll call it, 'The Resilience', the resilience that never fails or dies.

The poem is incredible. Awakes a certain kind of rush in the spine. Can't define it.
Love these lines the most.
"These hands have been idle too long,
They must learnt to toil"
and
"My fears are very real but they must be put to rest,
My God certainly exists but he must be put to test."
P.S.The picture is beautiful as well. The night sky looks lovely in that shade of blue :)
