A Step Closer

Each day we are a step closer to our graves,
There are those who’ll leave before us,
In their going we’ll have our first brush with death,
The silent, certain truth that leaves behind a vacuum so large,
That the living can never fill it,
Fear it? Yes.

The Song of the Sufi Masroof

I lost my Dad 8 months ago in a road mishap. His death left a permanent vacuum in my heart which, I am sure, can never be filled. I now know what death is.

This post will remain close to my heart, forever.

Dear Namrata, Please forgive me for not replying to you earlier. Your comment was buried under tons of spam. I am so glad I found it this morning.

I am sure your Dad is very proud of you and very close to you. Its going to be four years now, but I still miss my Dad. Sometimes, see him to in a dream, mostly when I imagine myself in a crisis situation :)

Thank you for your heart warming comment.
Lotsa love to you, Namrata.

God bless.
